Brayden Dental Care can help you improve your smile with dental veneers.
What are veneers?
Dental veneers are custom made thin pieces of porcelain that are attached to the teeth in order to cover stains, crack, chips and even fill in gaps.
Once they are bonded to the teeth they cannot be taken off.
Types of veneers
Veneers are made of resin or porcelain.
Porcelain veneers are more robust and look more like natural teeth but they also cost more than resin veneers.
Resin veneers can be done in the office and are also easier to fix if they become damaged. The resin veneers also cost less than porcelain.
Each has their benefits and drawbacks, your dentist will recommend which will best suit your needs.
How veneers work
When you decide to have veneers, the first thing will be to have a dental mold of your mouth done.
This mold is then sent to the lab for the veneers to be made from in order to ensure the right fit.
While the veneers are being made, the dentist will fix any decay or other issues.
Once the veneers come back, the dentist will then etch your teeth in order for the veneers to stick with dental cement.
