Our pediatric dentistry services are available for children from the age of 6 months up to 18 years. We create a comfortable and welcoming environment for kids to encourage them to take good care of their oral health now and into adulthood.
Accidents can happen to anyone, but children are at greater risk than adults. Worse, accidents often occur outside business hours. We offer pediatric dentistry at all hours for emergencies including broken and knocked-out teeth, abscesses, and toothache.
Your child may need a tooth extraction to help with crowding, because a baby tooth has failed to fall out, or due to damage or decay. Our pediatric dentists are trained to keep children calm and reassured during the procedure.
X-rays are an essential part of pediatric dentistry. Your children will receive X-rays on a regular basis as part of dental checkups, although not at every visit. Kids who are at a higher risk for decay will receive X-rays the most often.
Infant Oral Health Checks
Infants need their first oral health check when their first tooth begins to erupt. We will check the condition of the tooth and gums as well as discussing any concerns you may have. We will also provide you with advice on how to maintain good oral health in the early years of your child’s life.
Most children grow out of thumb sucking, but for some it can be a hard habit to break. We can provide your child with a customized solution to stop thumb sucking, such as a device with a deterrent behind the front teeth.
Teens concerned about the appearance of their teeth can receive a professional whitening service. This can improve self-confidence and encourage smiles. To whiten teeth, we use a custom-fit tray and apply a special gel to protect the gums.
